THEATRE: The Mysteries
13 June - 5 July
A new take on the original folk plays of medieval Europe, performed through a vibrant spectacle of African song, dance and music.  From the Creation to the Resurrection, these stories are some of the most universally recognised in the world. Pauline Malefane plays the role of God with an ensemble of 33 performers playing biblical characters from Adam to Eve to Pontius Pilate. Performed in English, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Tswana and Zulu.
