The world’s largest timed cycle race with around 30 000 riders cycling a route of close to 109km around the Cape Peninsula.
Now in its 16th year, the Cape Town Cycle Tour MTB Challenge is staged over two days and offers something for every skill and fitness level. Each route, specially designed by Dirtopia’s trail building expert, Meurant Botha, features some of the most scenic wine farms in the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy. Saturday is about family and fun, as riders tackle the 14km, 20km and 30km trails and Sunday’s races are the 40km or 55km routes.
