Starting as the first show at Evita se Perron in Darling in 1995, it now makes a return to the stage so that its audiences can celebrate stories of survival.
The show confronts a controversial issue in our democracy; the real history of South Africa and the right to laugh at it. Assisted by visual aids reflecting a familiar terrain of history, from the arrival of a small Dutch ship called the Drommedaris to the coronation of a former political prisoner called Madiba, Evita takes her audience on a journey from 1652 to 1994, and right up to the headlines of today.
Venue: Theatre on the Bay, Link Rd, Camps Bay, Cape Town
Time: 8pm | Sat 5pm & 8pm
Cost: R100 – R180
