Kirstenbosch sings the Blues when Going Back To The Crossroads performs on Sunday February 12 at the Old Mutual Summer Sunset concert. Featuring an international collective of some of the best Blues singers in the industry: Jimmy Thomas, Michael Roach and Sam Smith who are backed by a band of musical experts, including Danny McCormack, Paul Corry, Matt Cowley, Roger Innes and Dave Day. The singers are all stars in their own right with major careers in the Blues world.
The show is a musical journey through the history of the Blues movement with stories and music from the guys and gals that were there at the time. The show gives a personal insight into the musical style of Blues and the people that influenced it.
The Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts take place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (Rhodes Avenue, Newlands, Cape Town) on Sundays from 17h00 – 19h00.
Gates open at 16h00.
