The V&A Waterfront’s New Year’s Eve celebration brings Earth, Wind, Fire and Water alive. Four individually themed activation zones give visitors colourful and entertaining experiences.
From buskers, cirque performances, roaming musicians, singers and live bands, to dance performances, floats, entertainers, and more. More than 80 restaurants and eateries will be open on the evening as well as additional food trucks.
The V&A Amphitheatre, in white with fairy lights, reflects the wind theme with live bands, dancers and acrobats. The Alfred Mall is red-hot with fire as trees and surrounds sizzle with warm, spicy colours, live bands and circus performances. Observe greens and tones of earth at Nobel Square where magical tree nymphs entertain the crowds along with live bands, circus performers and carnival installations. The water theme can be seen at the Clock Tower as pirate ships are lit in shades of blue as the captain entertains audiences right through to 2017. The midnight countdown will be marked by a spectacular fireworks display as is tradition each year.
