Eike is offering the Bertus se Huiskos takeaway concept that provides traditional South African meals with a contemporary touch arranged by South African chef and entrepreneur Bertus Basson.
South Africans are still coming to terms with self-isolation, school closures and ‘business unusual’ period with regards to combating the spread of the coronavirus.
Jeanneret Momberg, General Manager Visit Stellenbosch, says, “Self-isolating is no fun for individuals or businesses. These are great local options to support if you can”.
Bertus se Huiskos is an extension of Eike with many selections made more accessible with ready-made meal options for collection or delivery.
Bertus says, “You have to keep on eating so we will keep on cooking!” This week’s meal is traditional bobotie, yellow rice with raisons & cinnamon, orange glazed sweet potato, pickled beetroot and vetkoek.
The public can place orders via WhatsApp on 076 377 5720 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Deliveries take place between 2pm and 4pm or you can pick up from Eike by 6pm.
Venue: Eike, 50 Dorp Street, Stellenbosch
