Allée Bleue opens its gates to the public to experience behind-the-scenes farming activities during its first-ever May Day Meander.
This event includes an hour-long walk including stops, hosted by experts, where guests can learn more about wine, fruit production, fresh herbs, olives and olive oil, all while snacking on a few bites to eat and tasting wine as they go along.
The day starts at the tasting room where guests receive a welcome drink, a quick briefing and a map. Guests then set off on their walk through some of the lesser-explored areas of the estate. After arriving back at the main building, guests have the option of sharing a cheese and charcuterie platter at the tasting room or a Chicnic basket, served at a garden table under an ancient oak tree or a picnic-on-the-go, to be enjoyed on the lawns of the beautifully manicured gardens.
Venue: Allée Bleue Wine Estate, Intersection R 45 and R310, Groot Drakenstein, Franschhoek
