2020 is already two months in and while we’re just starting to settle into the new year, it’s not too late to kick off your resolutions. Obstacle Fitness is Cape Town’s biggest and best obstacle training facility, offering various challenges and training opportunities for all skill levels through professionally-coached fun classes, kids parties and team building events. Obstacle training is a great way for anyone to build full-body strength as well as physical and mental fitness.

Their classes take place 5 days per week, with Monday classes including Obstacle Strength, Foundational Movement, as well as children’s classes for 6 to 12-year-olds – the Little Tigers. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they offer Open Play and Running, whilst on Wednesdays you can join an Obstacle Strength class or simply join for Open Play. On Saturday mornings, they offer an Obstacle Fitness class and group running.

Their three monthly memberships – Bold, Brave and Courageous, give you access to four, eight or an unlimited number of each activity, respectively. These activities include Classes, Open Play sessions and Run Groups. Their Little Tigers classes take place every Monday and Wednesday and are payable on a monthly, termly or drop-in basis.

New Year's Resolution Reboot


High Five Kite School gives you the opportunity to take advantage of living in Cape Town, one of the top three destinations for kiting in the world. They offer kitesurfing lessons, surfing and SUPing lessons as well as various full-day outdoor adventures. 

Their kitesurfing lessons take place in both Blouberg, Cape Town and Langebaan. You can choose between either an introductory lesson or one-day, three-day or five-day lesson packages. If you’ve done kiting before, they also offer a one-day refresher lesson as well as advanced clients and are the only local kiting school doing instructor courses. As they say, their lesson packages include gear, wetsuits, free smiles and unlimited high fives. 

Once you have learned the sport, the wind is free. However, if you are an advanced kitesurfer, IKO Level 3 or higher, and do not have your gear in Cape Town, High Five Kite School also does gear rentals.

The Pole Project is Cape Town’s elite pole dance studio offering group and private pole fitness, pole dance, aerial and stretch classes.

The Pole Project was born from a desire to teach the passion and spirit of pole dancing as an exciting way to explore the art of the dance, as well as a form of exercise to improve fitness, tone, strength and endurance.
