Singer/songwriter Natasha Meister has become South Africa’s Blues Queen in the few short years since returning from Canada to her ancestral home in Africa.
Natasha has a bluesey, Motown voice, plays electric and acoustic guitar and is a gifted songwriter. The Natasha Meister Band includes drummer Paul Tizzard and Roger Bashew on bass. Their combination of blues standards are inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Natasha became South Africa’s first woman to be endorsed by Fender, and she was endorsed by Lakewood Guitars in Germany after just one viewing of the video clips by luthier, Martin Seeliger.
The Natasha Meister Band can be seen at events such as the Oyster & Champagne Festival, Table Mountain Blues Summit, Synergy Live, Kleinmond Big Blues Music Festival, and Splashy Fen.

“This skinny, long haired, laid back rock chick can certainly play guitar, and has the voice to cover both Amy Winehouse and Adele without obvious effort.” Read our review of Natasha Meister performing with Dan Patlansky at Kirstenbosch.
