Profile: 7th Son


Rude rock reggae. Headed by frontman Nic Gaud, this five member Cape-Town based ensemble includes a sax and trumpet player and is renowned for expressive lyrics promoting tolerance. Explosively energetic when performing live, the band has played at a variety of popular South African music festivals including Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies and Ramfest. The band’s first full length album, Ontology, was released in 2009.
