The Avondale Bike Park is the longest mountain bike flow trail on the African continent offering a terrain induced roller coaster experience.
Running through several unique and diverse landscapes, riders can expect everything from pine forests to buchu plantations, exciting features such as gap jumps over streams, big berms and more. Whilst the flow trail has lots of epic large features, in most cases, there is a B-line (chicken run) rendering it suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels.
The Avondale Flow Trail starts high up in Echo Valley where riders can enjoy magnificent views of Paarl and beyond. They then move at a high pace through the Rock n Roll section which includes some jumps. This is followed by a cruise through the shady Pine Lake section and then into the bouncy terrain of Buchu Bounce. Watch out for Puff Adder Alley, a place of jumps and wildlife. The flow trail then finishes with a bang at the End of Eden section.
Bikers are advised to wear full-face helmets for the big jumps as well as knee pads, gloves and elbow pads.
