Philharmonic Orchestra Winter Season

Bookings are open for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s Winter Symphony season.

Three conductors share the podium – American conductor Robert Moody makes his debut with the CPO, followed by Arjan Tien and Daniel Boico for the last two concerts.

Soloists are American pianists Bryan Wallick who performs the Barber Piano Concerto and Sodi Braide who presents his interpretation of the Mozart Piano Concerto No, 24 in c minor.

Cellist Alexander Ramm performs the Prokofiev Sinfonia Concertante on and Korean violinist Ye-Eun Choi performs Sibelius in the final concert.

The main works are, respectively,  the Symphony No. 4 by Tchaikovsky, Symphony No, 4 by Bruckner, Symphony No. 1 by Kalinninov and the Symphonic Dances by Rachmaninov.

Tickets to the Winter Symphony season entitle concertgoers to attend, free of charge, the pre-concert talk at the City Hall at by Rodney Trudgeon or John Woodland.
