Cape Town Stadium is a world-class stadium, built to FIFA specifications with a standard capacity of 55,000. Originally designed and built for the 2010 World Cup, it also hosts other major events, including rugby, soccer and music concerts by bands such as U2, Kings of Leon and The Eagles.
Home to Cape Town City FC, the stadium also features conference facilities, corporate hospitality suites, medical and training facilities, 500 toilets and its own police station. During a specially created tour, visitors are guided through the hallways of the stadium to the players’ change rooms, the on-site police cells and the VIP hospitality areas. There is also the opportunity to see the world-class pitch up close. Guided tours of the Biodiversity Showcase Garden are also available.
The Cape Town Stadium also offers its stadium bowl and conference and function spaces as options as a venue for parties, balls and dinners, open-air concerts, corporate and sporting events.
