Gabriëlskloof Estate hosts the first-ever Che Syrah Syrah wine experience, in which they highlight their portfolio of unique Syrah wines in the newly converted Landscape Cellar.
The programme sees guests being welcomed with a tasting of older wines, a few international gems and the Estate’s current and future offerings, as well as first-hand insight provided on walkabouts through the Landscape Cellar, led by owner Bernhard Heyns, cellarmaster Peter-Allan Finlayson and winemaker Donovan Ackermann.
This is followed by a wholesome meal prepared by Gabriëlskloof Restaurant chef Frans Groenewald, and is paired with Syrah in its many shapes and forms. Between a selection of homemade soups and dessert, the meal’s main attraction is a lamb stew, true to its Overberg roots.
