Families, couples and groups are invited to experience a magical garden, never seen in South Africa and a wonderland with rainbow lights. Visitors walk through a 400m-long trail of the Company’s Garden lit up with thousands of lights.
The event exhibits various Christmas statues, a lit up enchanted forest of lights, artificial snow flakes, music and family activities for groups and families.
In the Southern Hemisphere, seasons are in reverse to the Northern Hemisphere. Summer falls in December, January, and February, while winter falls in June, July, and August. Therefore, in some southern hemisphere countries, such as Australia, Madagascar, South Africa and New Zealand, Christmas in July or Midwinter Christmas events occur in order to have Christmas with a winter feel.
This year, families in the Western Cape have the opportunity to experience a winter white Christmas with snowfall. The event features eco friendly artificial snow, father Christmas, Chariots Christmas background music, an instant photo booth, Christmas lights and more. It is a perfect opportunity to put on winter clothes while escaping into the gardens of the Western Cape.
Tickets to the event include the following activities: entrance into the enchanted forest of lights, a 400m trail, walking at your own pace; an eco friendly snowflake experience; the Christmas music performance; access to the Christmas art exhibition display.
