The Norval Foundation hosts The Serenades, a local choir performing South African Christmas Carols. They range from festive favourites and re-imagined music from classical composers like Franz Shubert and GF Handel to songs inspired by African Folklore.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL – THE STORY OF SCROOGE

Cape Town City Ballet presents the classic Christmas tale in A Christmas Carol – The Story of Scrooge, created in 1982 and now restaged by South African dance doyenne Veronica Paeper with lighting design by Wilhem Disbergen. There is a Fairy and Prince Fancy Dress Parade after each Christmas Eve show.

GROUNDED LIVE PRESENTS RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE-INSPIRED QUIZ NIGHT

The quiz tests guests’ knowledge of the Emmy award-winning TV show, RuPaul’s Drag Race. The event also features 7 local drag queens performing lip sync covers of popular songs with prizes to be won for the best team.

CAPE TOWN OPERA’S AFRICAN ANGELS

Cape Town Opera’s African Angels return to the Mother City with a programme that showcases the exceptional voices and stylistic variety of the chorus. They are directed by Tara Notcutt. Musical direction is by Jose Dias and CTO Chorus Master Marvin Kernelle.

CANAL WALK FROZEN FUN SLIDE PARK

Canal Walk launches a fun park with four frozen slides and an Olaf Snow Play Area ahead of the premiere of Disney’s Frozen 2. The Fun Slides are setup with varying heights for toddlers, kids and adults.
