Artist and sculptor Dylan Lewis’ Sculpture Garden houses over 60 works which serve as markers of the growth and change that has occurred during a 25-year career.
Lewis’ sculptures are inspired by the human form, big cats and shamanic figures and include lifelike recreations as well as abstract pieces.
The garden has mainly indigenous species, with a focus on fynbos.
While the buchus and Ericas are in flower during July and September, the garden has been planted in a way that every season has a new display of plant life.
A large selection of Ericas, particularly unusual varieties such as Erica Verticillata, extinct in the wild, were sourced from Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.
All visits are by appointment and guests are invited to meander in the garden on their own with the comprehensive map provided.
Alternatively, a privately guided tour can be arranged with advance booking. Tours are 1.5 hours and provide an informative overview of the garden and Dylan’s work.
The Old Storeroom is a charming repurposed space with barista coffee, specialty teas and a selection of freshly baked cakes for you to enjoy during your visit.
