The Fab Ideas Market hosts their 11th annual Christmas Gift Fair at a NEW CENTRAL VENUE at Sun Valley Primary School from Friday 17th to Wednesday 22nd December 2021.
This Christmas Gift Fair is a “one stop shop” experience with goods ranging from home décor, jewellery, clothing and crafts for your friends, loved ones, or even yourself, to a delicious deli of tasty treats and goodies well suited to complement a festive spread. All items are barcoded and there are tills set up offering credit and debit facilities to help facilitate hassle-free payment.

The Collective in Hout Bay features over 180 local creators and makers of bespoke furniture, ceramics, and various gifts that celebrate South Africa.
Situated in one of the historical buildings in the area, the iconic Old Post Office, The Collective has a hundred square meters of beautiful décor, homeware, gifts, plants and ceramics
In this store, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to buying local items and products made by the talented locals that live here. It’s a curated shopping experience for anyone looking to find something handmade and original with a touch of artistry.
The indoor fireplace makes for a cozy space in which to browse the many home fragrances, wax candles, ceramic bowls, pinch pots, chili sauces, cushion covers, artisanal soaps, bottle bags, olive oil, and other functional ware sold here.
Some of the creators’ names like Kim Black Art are renowned all over the world. Others are familiar too like Juliet Eidelman, Angel Vases by Eve Art, Milky Rose Jewellery and Amanda Jayne. The Collective has added daily coffee and sweet treats from various local bakers to their ever-growing list of available items to treat yourself to. One may enjoy these delights relaxing under the trees in the back courtyard.
Many of the items are natural and/or recyclable.
The Hout Bay Collective forms part of the neighbourhood’s newest Last Thursdays experience. Last Thursdays is a monthly foodie, arts, and culture community-driven evening experience taking place in the heart of Hout Bay.

The Slow Market is proud to extend their range of crafts and products available from their venue in Stellenbosch, to Willowbridge and now introducing their new Nederburg showcase opening in December 2021!
The Slow Market Nederburg will kick off on the 4th of December and will be open every Saturday and Sunday onwards. This is housed in the Masterchef venue on this beautiful historic farmstead in Paarl. Expect all your favourite food vendors, local fashion and slow food deli. Nederburg will run a fully stocked bar with all the drinks and trimmings as well as live music and an amazing kids’ playground. Christmas night markets on 10th and 17th December are not to be missed as they will serve up all the Christmas goodies and delicacies!
The Slow Market at Willowbridge is a collection of local producers, artists, bakers and makers. This gem of a market can be found in the relaxed and popular open-air lifestyle centre – Willowbridge Shopping Centre in Tyger Valley.
This gourmet market is in operation every Saturday from 9am until 4pm and Sundays from 9am until 2pm, no matter the weather.
You can find almost anything here – from locally grown, fresh and delicious organic fruits and vegetables, plants, fresh flowers, jewellery, freshly made foods and drinks and even one of a kind hand-crafted furniture and home accessories.

This is one of very few South African markets run by crafters, exclusively for crafters. The Country Craft Market was established in 1983 and is famous for the quality and variety of the hand-made items on offer. Southey’s Vines has been the home of this market for over 38 years, making them the oldest craft market in the Helderberg basin.
Crafters and artists come together twice a month on Saturday mornings at Southey’s Vines for this true handcraft and one-of-a-kind market. Country Craft Market is always committed to showcasing and providing the best handcrafted and handmade items, from life-sized sculptures to small pocket-sized gifts, art, soft furnishings, soaps, home and garden decor, clothing, jewellery, recycled and upcycled art, ceramics and glass.

Anything from secondhand, handmade and vintage may be sold and new vendors are always welcome.
The Observatory Community Center venue is child-friendly as is Blue Bird Garage.
Each venue brings with it a relaxed atmosphere, live entertainment and delicious food and drink, all from local artists and entrepreneurs.
