Greenpop is a Non Profit Organization with a vision of a world where green spaces and green living are accessible to everyone. It was initiated by Misha Teasdale with one goal to plant 1000 trees in 1 month. The project proved to be extremely popular – so Misha, his partner Lauren O’Donnell and their friend Jeremy Hewitt realised that there was an ongoing need for an organisation which connects people to the planet, each other and themselves – thus Greenpop was born.
Today, they plant trees through urban greening and reforestation projects, spread environmental awareness, and activate people through green festivals and workshops across Southern Africa. It is on a mission to popularize environmentalism – making it appealing, creative and fun.
If you want to contribute to this innovative organization, you can do so through donating or starting a fundraiser. You can also attend one of their famous Greenpop events and/or festivals that are based on environmental education and tree planting.
