The Irma Stern Museum, established in 1971 and managed by the University of Cape Town and the Irma Stern Trust, aims to promote an understanding and appreciation of the life, work and travels of renowned South African artist Irma Stern, by displaying a collection of her art and artifacts in the domestic setting of her home. The museum also hosts a programme of regular exhibitions by South African artists
