iStimela Sendaba Story Train


story trainiStimela Sendaba Story Train forms part of the National Arts Festival’s 2021 online programme, and features a series of 30-minute videos of local authors and storytellers covering the 11 South African languages.

10 July | Baeletsi Tsatsi tells the story Skinning Out
11 July | Sizwe Vilakazi tells the story of The boy who went to look for the sun
– 12 July | Teboho Hlahane tells the story of The Magic Pot
14 July | Nolubabalo Rani tells the story Animal Fight
– 15 July | Tiego Shametja tells the story of Takura and the Talking Branch
– 16 July | Gcebile Dlamini tells the tale of The Storytelling Stone
– 17 July | Keaorata Gaokgwathe tells the tale of The Roof of Leaves

All stories are suitable for children between the ages of 3 to 10 years old.
