The inaugural event aims to provide a platform for undiscovered local artists to exhibit their works in a casual artistic environment. The festival features street performers, buskers, mime acts, jugglers, sculptors and live art.

Kamers/Makers

KAMERS/MAKERS 2018

South Africa’s premier celebration of handmade, proudly local products. The show features over a 150 makers selling everything from hand-carved wooden bow ties and hand-turned wine-barrel furniture to hand-crafted porcelain jewellery and hand-spun scarves, as well as fashion, food and music.

CT Animation Fest

CT INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL

AFI Fashion Week

AFI CAPE TOWN FASHION WEEK

African Fashion International presents Cape Town Fashion Week, the event that sees Africa’s fashion icons put on a show that fuses fashion, art and design. Breaking from tradition, AFI Cape Town Fashion Week walks off the ramp and through the city’s most breath-taking landscapes and curated spaces to re-imagine ways to interact with luxury fashion, art and design and to be at the forefront of the global fashion stage.

Cape Town Sixes

CAPE TOWN SIXES

The third annual amateur cricket festival is a combination of Africa’s biggest 6’s tournament, music from top local artists, and social development in the townships of the Western Cape. The sporting event features several cricket leagues for all levels of competitiveness, comedy, a gourmet food village, wine on the wicket, a beach bar, and more.

March West Side Story

WEST SIDE STORY

Due to popular demand, the multiple award-winning musical is back, now featuring a full, live orchestra. Inspired by William Shakespeare’s tragic, ageless tale Romeo and Juliet, it is set on the harsh streets of the Upper West Side neighbourhood of New York City in the mid-1950s. Rival gangs, the Sharks and the Jets, battle in a turf-war to gain control of the neighbourhood.

March Romeo & Juliet

OUDE LIBERTAS SUMMER SEASON: ROMEO & JULIET

Cape Town City Ballet presents a ballet adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic work. The ageless story resounds in the new choreography of Robin van Wyk, created especially for the romantic Oude Libertas Open-Air Theatre. Van Wyk uses the Prokofiev score to enhance his choreography, letting the spectator be swept along in its grandeur.
