Every Full Moon
The Moonlight Mass Night Cycle is an event that takes place once a month during the full moon, where the public participates in a casual bike ride around various parts of the city. Masses take over downtown, riding along Loop Street, then Longmarket Street to finish at Baran’s in Greenmarket Square, where coffee and drinks are consumed.
The ride highlights the fact that Cape Town has a high carbon emission rate that can be offset by using greener transportation methods like carpooling or public transport. Cyclists are asked to meet under the Green Point roundabout (Green Point Circle) as a starting point. Bikes are available to rent and participants are asked to bring their own lights.
Venue: Cape Town Stadium, Vlei Rd, Green Point, Cape Town
Time: 8pm to 11pm
