Ocean Innovation Africa is a conference that showcases African initiatives and brings together international entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, businesses, and leaders who are working towards creating a positive impact on the Oceans.
Over two days, and for two days thereafter online, 60 international Blue Economy experts come together to discuss the challenges and developments of safeguarding a sustainable future for all life below water.
The programme consists of keynote talks, discussions, workshops, and movie screenings. An exhibition hall presents the latest inventions in science, technology, and entrepreneurship geared towards finding lasting solutions to issues such as ocean pollution, over-exploitation of ocean resources, and climate change.
A highlight of the programme is Africa’s Ocean Hackathon happening live at the V&A. Local teams compete against each other building algorithms based on ocean-related data to further help this cause.
This event is for ocean-friendly business owners, ocean-conscious solutions providers or investors wanting to network, connect and gain more information.
Attendance is free but pre-registration is available on their website.
