Tulbagh hosts the 18th national heritage symposium to commemorate 50 years since the town’s reconstruction after it was devasted by an earthquake in 1969. The four-day symposium consists of lectures, workshops and field trips and is open to all heritage professionals and enthusiasts.

DANCERS LOVE DOGS

Dancers Love Dogs features a line up of dancers, choreographers and performing artists, all donating their time and expertise in aid of the mass sterilization of dogs. Audiences can look forward to seeing a variety of dance styles such as hip hop, ballet, neo-classical, jazz and contemporary by top performers.

ELGIN BLOSSOM WEEKEND

Falling right in the middle of apple blossom time, Elgin Grabouw Tourism hosts the Elgin Blossom Weekend for visitors to explore the area. Orchard and vineyard walks, organic veggie garden tours, fynbos walking trails, outdoor yoga sessions, river barge cruises and a one of a kind Bee-Active Amazing Race are all running throughout the weekend.

MIRAGE YACHT SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: GOODLUCK

The Mirage Yacht kicks off their annual Forever Summer Concert Series with popular Cape Town band, GoodLuck. The cruise sets off from the V&A Waterfront and sails across to Clifton Beaches on board the 76-foot luxury catamaran. Guests can enjoy a performance by GoodLuck, unlimited MCC from Graham Beck, light snacks and a special Mirage gift.

100 top South Africa restaurants throughout the country create a Restaurant Week special (starting with R150 for a 2-course lunch and R250 for a 3-course dinner) to show guests what their restaurants have to offer. In his 40-year career as a bass player, bandleader and composer, Carlo Mombelli has bridged the gaps between genres, musicians and audiences. He has played the bass on many recordings with, amongst others, Marcus Wyatt, Simphiwe Dana, Sibongile Khumalo, and Miriam Makeba.

Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra Spectacular

CAPE TOWN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA SPECTACULAR

Local singers, dancers and instrumentalists perform with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in this annual musical showcase. Performers include Don Vino, Jarrad Ricketts, Township Opera and members of the Zip Zap Circus. New to the CPO platform are dancing pair Oleksii and Michele, singing group Asili, crooners Tracey-Lee Oliver and Madeegha Anders.

FALSE BAY NATURE RESERVE BIRDATHON 2019

The False Bay Nature Reserve, with Cape Town Environmental Education Trust (CTEET) and Birdlife South Africa, once again hosts the annual Fun Walk and Birdathon Festival. Families and children are invited to join in celebrating biodiversity and natural spaces. The festival includes an interactive 4km, 5km or 6km fun walk, exhibits, games and other activities.
