Not being content with a strong following of serious, returning wine fans, Rickety Bridge Winery in Franschhoek is seemingly gunning to score some pizza credentials along the way. The Franschhoek wine farm recently introduced a selection of wood-fired pizzas to their Wine Tasting Centre. So gather some friends, family or a loved one because your next tasting trip won’t be a rushed affair.
The decision to add a pizza selection to their wine tasting offer is a witty one since the combo has long been a crowd-pleaser combo for many eateries. It also makes for a more casual and unpretentious tasting experience on the tasting area’s sunny deck overlooking the stunning Wemmershoek mountains.
The pizza menu is compact, affordable, and to-the-point with four pizza toppings – Margarita with tomato and fresh basil, Regina with mushroom and bacon, Pepperoni with cheese the Rickety Bridge speciality which comes topped with pulled pork, onion, tomato.
Bridge Winery on-site dining spot, Paulina’s Restaurant can gladly accommodate visitors for bistro-style breakfast, lunch or just something substantial. Booking in advance is recommended to secure your space.
