Situated in the bustling V&A Waterfront in the world-famous Clock Tower Precinct, the Cape Town Diamond Museum, as its names suggests, is dedicated to the world’s most precious gem, the diamond.
The Museum explores the creation story of a diamond (a story spanning billions of years) all the way to the final cut and polished stone. The Museum looks at the diamond industry and its significant history in South Africa, dating back to the start of the Diamond Rush in 1867 which changed the course of South African history and the global diamond market forever. The Museum offers guided tours of 25-40 minutes. Prior booking is advised.
