Cape Town’s City Sightseeing announces that the Red Bus is back. Commencing on 8 August 2020. They’re offering their two main routes on weekends and public holidays only, just in time to book a Women’s Day adventure.
Strict health and safety structures are in place. The customers and staff are the main priority, and several new procedures to ensure safety while on the tours have been implemented. Only travelers wearing face masks will be permitted to board the buses. To respect social distancing the buses, it will be traveling with a reduced capacity and only every second row of seats will be occupied.
The Red Route Urban Safari, departs the V&A and heads through the city center and Tamboerskloof before we reaching the lower Cableway station. There is a 15-min break before heading down into Camps Bay. Following along the Atlantic Seaboard as the bus explores the rich history of this coastline with its famous landmarks, infamous shipwrecks, and views of Robben Island.
The Blue Route Scenic Safari moves past famous establishments like the Mount Nelson Hotel, University of Cape Town and the world-renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Via Constantia Nek entering the fishing village of Hout Bay with its harbour and resident seals. Customers can enjoy the sights along the Atlantic seaboard, passing through Camps Bay, Sea Point and Mouille Point with views of Robben Island as they return to the V&A Waterfront.
