Russian Tea Ceremony

Russian Tea CeremonyHazendal Tea Room brings a unique taste of the country well-known for its babushka dolls and tsars to the heart of the Winelands with a Russian Tea Ceremony.

Spanning generations, Russian tea drinking is an integral part of Russia’s culture, highlighting the values of friendship and hospitality. At the tea room, they wish to celebrate these values, with a ceremony centred around a steaming samovar (a traditional Russian tea urn), a black tea brew that is especially sourced for Hazendal and some delicious Russian sweet and savoury delights.

The Russian Tea Ceremony is a culturally rich and exquisite experience for larger groups. The Ceremony is particularly popular for bridal showers parties, birthday celebrations or a special treat shared with friends and family.

Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan menus are available. Bookings are essential and require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. 50% pre-payment is required to secure the booking.
