The 3rd annual Silver Mountain Music Festival is a weekend of fun, entertainment and culture, featuring music, nature and the chance to experience the country life.
The festival brings some of South Africa’s most prominent musicians to this secretive valley in the Overberg region. It is organised by well-known musician and conductor, Richard Cock, and a host of partners. The 2018 line-up includes Sulayman Human (pianist), Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha (soprano), The Charl du Plessis Trio, Richard Cock, Tim Moloi (baritone), Lauren Dasappa (soprano) and more.
Aside from the music, guests experience the nature and farm life of Grootvadersbosch with a walk in the critically-endangered Renosterveld, life on a dairy farm experience, meeting the creatures of the forest, getting close to a wild Cape Buffalo, a journey into the past, and learning about stoneground flour.
Venue: Grootvadersbosch Conservancy, Heidelberg
Cost: Weekend Pass R875, R550 (U14s) | Individual events R30 – R250
