The historic Nederburg farm once again opens its lawns this summer for relaxing summer picnics. The food – freshly prepared by The Red Table restaurant in the winery’s elegant manor house – can be enjoyed under the shady oak trees in the sprawling garden.
Picnickers can unwind in Nederburg’s picturesque setting, with uninterrupted views of the Drakenstein Mountains, while feasting on a freshly prepared selection of artisanal bread, hummus, delicious cheeses, fig preserve, thyme & lemon chicken kebabs, springbok samoosas, roasted Cajun spiced nuts, brie and mushroom tartlet with caramelised onions, fresh seasonal salad, and a sweet treat for dessert. Picnic baskets also include cutlery, crockery, glassware, a wooden platter, blanket and ice bucket. Kids picnics are also on offer and include a mini beef burger, chips, sweets, fruit juice and bubbles.
Nederburg’s award-winning range of wines, as well as mineral water and soft drinks, are available to purchase to complement each picnic – just enquire with The Red Table staff.
Orders need to be placed a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
