The Tai Chi Beginner Workshop teaches participants the background, benefits and essence of Tai Chi and practices some stances and movements.
Practicing Tai Chi helps with calming down, healing the body and mind, and controlling emotions. Tai Chi consists of several standing postures and a series of slow movements and focuses on developing inner strength, balance, improved health and increased energy levels. Tai Chi correlates with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other internal and external martial art styles.
The special guest for this workshop is Dr. Michael Lan, a Tai Chi Master and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has been practicing internal martial arts for over 25 years and is a direct lineage of the Yang Tai Chi Chuan family style which traces back to Grand Master Yang Chen Fu.
Participants must wear comfortable clothes and bring socks. The workshop is open to all ages.
