An art expo hosted by the Cape Town International Convention Centre that supports local talent, showcasing their art and handmade pieces.
During this two-day celebration of African art, viewers are exposed to a myriad of different styles, mediums, and expressions.
Pieter Lessing Art exhibits his plough dishes decorated with ethnic pewter and glass beads. Attorney, artist, photographer, Deborah Lazarus, showcases her mixed media pieces about motherhood. Self-taught wildlife artist, Matthew Bell, offers his intricate pencil drawings at this event. Shaunez Benting grew up in the Cape Flats and his works depict the socio-economic impact of segregation in the era of District Six, all done with a focus on the happy space. Daniel Brand practices the art of Nerikomi.
The public is invited to be part of the rebuilding of the art industry in South Africa. Tickets include a glass of wine or non-alcoholic drink.
