The SAMA winning Stellenbosch University (US) Camerata accompanies László Kuti (clarinet) and Peter Martens (cello) in concertos by Mozart and Haydn respectively. It is a performance in which classic masters meet modern maestros.
Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, an enduring favourite and one of the greatest works in the clarinet repertoire is brought to life by László Kuti who is principal clarinettist of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Martens, the Artistic Director of the US Camerata, makes his first solo concerto appearance with the group since its inception in 2008, and performs Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D major. The Camerata also pays homage to the late Roelof Temmingh by featuring his Three Sonnets for orchestra.
