Creator of the famed South African Nobel Peace Prize Laureates statues, Claudette Schreuders, leads an art Waterfront walkabout.
The walkabout starts with a curator-led tour at Everard Read Gallery, South Africa’s oldest commercial gallery. Other stops include Mohau Modisakeng’s Shield, and Nobel Square (the location of Schreuders‘ extremely popular bronze sculptures) and Noria Mabasa’s Peace and Democracy. Claudette shares her experiences of creating this public sculpture of note and working with many different stakeholders.
The tour carries on to public installations at the Silo District before finishing with a hot bronze pour at Bronze Age Art Foundry.
