Hi Kayla,
We’re glad to hear you had fun! But please note that although we list the World of Birds as an attraction, we are not connected with it. You’ll need to contact the venue directly. Contact details are listed in the post above.
Oh my 4-year-old daughter would absolutely LOVE to go!!! It’s sad to hear that they might be closing down 🙁 Hopefully they won’t and hopefully we can all raise awareness and help out! Good luck everyone! I’m sure anyone here with kids would like to win and I’m sure every child would be absolutely ecstatic to have a day out at the world of birds! So good luck everyone!!!!! 🙂
I live in Gaborone, Botswana, I visit Cape Town often and didnt know about the World of Birds. I certainly will be making it a point to visit World of Birds on my next trip, November.
We need to get involved animal lovers, lets support World of Birds…….
This sounds amazing! Ideal for a way to spend good family time together!
I haven’t been to the World of Birds since I was a child, and used to LOVE it – I would LOVE to take my kids but just cannot afford it – and would LOVE this opportunity to relive my childhood with them 🙂
Congratulations Glenda – you are a winner!
The bird transport van was stranded on the side of the road to the Bird park so the curator offered a taxi driver R1000 to deliver the parrots for him. The driver agrees and loads the parrots in.
An hour later, the curator gets his van fixed and heads to the bird park. On the road, he sees the taxi driver and the parrots driving in the opposite direction. He catches up and pulls them over.
The curator yells, “I gave you a R1000 to take the parrots to the Bird Park for me. Why are you still driving them around?”
“Calm down,” the taxi driver says, “I took the parrots to the park. We had change left over, so now I’m taking them to the movies.”
I really hope that manage to keep it open, its a beautiful place and i would love to win the tickets too!
Would love to take my 2 daughters to World of Birds for the day!
Hey Daisy, see above posted 26 September 2012… I will take my children (21 and 23!!!) anyway.

Would love these, its an amazing place
I would love to bring my son to see your amazing array of birds and help support this venture.
Hope it stays open! loved going there as a kid 🙂
How sad it will be if its closed down! It’s a wonderful place to take the family. Hout Bay will not be the same without it!! Hope we run the tickets
Have not been in a while. So difficult to run an animal facility with private funding. Would like to take my kids again, as they are old enough to now read the info boards and not run away form me!! Lots of interesting animals, not just birds.
we love world of birds! hope it ll stay open!
We have just relocated to Cape Town….. we pick a new place each weekend to visit and explore….. what an amazingly beautiful city this is and this would be just a fabulous treat for our friends little ones !
Congratulations Lee – you are a winner! We will be in touch shortly with details.
my father used to take us when we were younger, now I take my own children….. It would be very sad if it had to close down, really hoping that it can survive so that one day my kids can take their children….
Holding thumbs that you are able to stay open! Our children need access to places like this.
I’ve never been but would like to see what its all about
Hi Daisy,
Have been following your page for a long time and may you grow from strength to strength in promoting our wonderful “Town” and a worthy cause like the Word of Birds.
Hek if I don’t win , I will still go with family, just to support.

Never been at World of Birds. Would love to take my son on an outing during the school holidays.
Hi there, my wishes for you guys is that you will raise enough money to keep open, not only for yourself and all the birds, but for our children aswell
Haven’t been there in years. Would love to take my children. I wonder whether they still have the little monkeys.
Would love to win the tickets please – on my bucket list.
Apparently this place is going to be closed down. What’s going to happen to all the birds?
Last ditch attempts to save it are still ongoing. We’ll do our best to keep you posted!
