The Youngblood Arts and Culture Development Foundation (NPC) was founded in January 2010 in response to the growing need to connect capital with burgeoning artistic and creative activities in South Africa, that would otherwise have faded from sight.
The aim is to be a platform for artists from all genres to start off from or to continue from in order to become self-sustainable.
Each month Youngblood curates a full 3-storey exhibition. The exhibitions open on each First Thursday of the month. The goal is to provide new and upcoming artists with a professional environment in which to show and sell their works directly to the public. It also allows artists to grow their professional network, which helps them gain exposure.
