The Zeitz MOCAA is a major new cultural institution pioneered by the V&A Waterfront and Jochen Zeitz. It focuses on collecting, preserving, researching, and exhibiting contemporary art from Africa and it is the largest museum of modern art in Africa. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions from around the world and is a world-class destination for events, boasting unique architecture in a former grain silo, dedicated events spaces, a museum shop, and a fine dining restaurant.
The fine dining restaurant, Zeitz MOCAA Food, serves delicious, South African-inspired gourmet dishes. Situated on level 6 of the building, the eatery is blessed with a breathtaking 270-degree over Cape Town and Table Mountain, as well as the museum’s rooftop sculpture garden.
