Zsa Zsa is an upmarket Mediterranean restaurant and bar in the heart of Cape Town’s CBD, recreating the experience and elegantly relaxed atmosphere of the 1960’s Riviera.
The inspiration behind the name of the restaurant stems from the Hungarian-born actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was considered the first celebrity who was famous for being famous. Zsa Zsa is the highly anticipated social experience that is the brainchild of three local forces, Shaun Westwood, Yolande Mathias and Ty Wiese.
The kitchen draws inspiration from all along the French and Italian Mediterranean coastline. The menu is a combination of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and recipes of the region. The flavours aim to transport guests to the beaches of St Tropez, the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast and the shores of Ibiza.
Zsa Zsa’s rich velvet interiors reflect the sensuality and sultry glamour 1960s and 70s with bespoke murals and lighting. The space features restaurant tables and booths, a cocktail lounge, and a DJ booth.
